After suffering a combat injury (he used to be an adventurer like you... then he took an arrow to the knee) he retired, but retained an interest in the arts of destruction. Since retirement he has devoted his life to the making of weapons and explosive devices using black powder, which is crude by modern standards but far easier to create than the smokeless powder used in old-world weaponry. Stan has an almost religious faith in the Second Amendment and firmly believes that better armaments will create a better society. He is the founder and driving force of the House of Boom, a bare-bones research & development facility near Charcoal City. He lives on the proceeds of weapon sales, which does not bother him in the least. If presented with an order for a specialty weapon or a device for destroying an especially tough target, Stan will not rest until he comes up with a solution; he may even insist on coming along to see his creations used "in the field". As a member of the Iron Legion, he shares his workable inventions with other tinkers. He has little knowledge of steampunk weaponry but would certainly find it fascinating.
